Why Your Child Does What They Do
&
How To Support Yourself To Shift It
Parenting Workshop Giving Caregivers The Knowledge and Support They Need To Transform Their Child’s Behavior
Are you struggling to show up to parenting as the kind, confident leader you’d like to be?
~
Feel frustrated because even though you know what to do—most of the time—you can’t seem to actually do it?
~
Not sure what to do because of all of the competing advice out there, much of which seems to be directed to parents of other, less “quirky” kids?
No matter the situation, you are in the right place.
In this 90-minute workshop you’ll get a simplified (but multi-faceted and complete) answer to the question “what do children need?”; an understanding of the science behind why you can’t always provide it; and concrete, actionable, and mostly simple tips on how you can support yourself to be the kind of person who can meet your child’s needs more easily and more of the time.

A bit about me
Hi! I’m Heidi.
I’m on a mission to help smart, thoughtful, and committed parents like you reduce the overwhelm, feel more confident, and raise kids who thrive.
I know first hand what it is like to “know better” but not be able to (consistently) “do better,” which is why I became a parent coach, developed my approach, and ultimately created this workshop. By combining my experience with somatics, meditation, and self-compassion, with my training in peaceful parenting, mindful parenting, and the nervous system, I help you go deep, learn what you really need to know that’s behind all the parenting tips and tricks on social media, befriend your emotions, and integrate your experiences so that doing what you’re “supposed to” comes naturally and feels good.

Because of the low-cost of this workshop and the fact that a recording is provided, no refunds will be given. Please exercise mindfulness in deciding whether to purchase.

Although my approach (and especially the tools we work on in coaching)is heavily influenced by Peaceful Parenting (and the workshop is thus consistent with that style), this workshop is based on neuroscience, the nervous systems, somatics, mindfulness, and self-compassion. (How wild it was to write all that in descibing such a short workshop!) The information explored will provide peaceful parents with a much deeper understanding of the meaning of Big Ideas #1 and #2, but those connections primarily will be for participants to make themselves.

This workshop is designed as a stand-alone offering that will provide you with the substantive information and a few practical tools you need to really supercharge your transformation as a parent (and your child’s transformation that is likely to result). Although one of the goals of the workshop is to introduce people to my philosophy and I would be thrilled if you decided to sign up for coaching after the workshop, there will be little-to-no mention of my coaching services during the workshop—though I probably won’t be able to stop myself from sharing names of other support people and resources for your journey.
-
Well, I can’t make you do anything. But the workshop will start and end with brief meditation practices and mindfulness is one of the supports we explore and which I think is crucial for parents. That said, mindfulness is about way more than seated meditation and I will be talking about alternatives in the workshop.

One of my core beliefs is that it is connection and relationships that change the brain. While this type of coregulation can absolutely happen via a screen and does happen in asynchronous formats such as books and recorded webinars, it is most effective live (in-person or virtual). Additionally, this format gives you the opportunity to ask questions and helps you customize your learning to your individual family’s needs.
For these reasons, I chose this format even though an evergreen webinar likely would be more profitable.

I’ve done my best to foresee your questions, but I am sure I missed something. So please feel free to email them to me whether you’ve signed up or are still making up your mind.
